PH & Beyond: A Day in La Huerta de Rosario Farm in Baao Wednesday, January 7, 2015

I spent the remaining days of 2014 in my hometown, Baao. And one of those days, my sister Drey and I visited La Huerta Farm situated along the national highway of Barangay Sta. Teresita in Baao, a 10 minutes away from our house.

I was accompanied by this brat while I tour La Huerta and although it was quite breezy, we managed to do some photo shoots.

As a child, I dreamed of owning a farm. Living in a a quiet suburb, raising ducks or pigs, gardening, growing edible plants, fruit bearing trees, making healthy recipes. The whole idea of living in a rural environment fascinates and excites me.

According to my sister, this native nipa hut will soon be renovated to become a spa.

La Huerta is beautifully and artistically landscaped by the owner, Ms. Bernadette De Los Santos, who happens to be one of the art advocates of our town. I wish I had the chance to speak with her so I would have a lot more to share. Moreover, I'm glad that the last day of 2014 was leisurely well spent outdoors in a blend of sunshine and breeze kind of day.
