Sunday Pleasure No 14 Saturday, November 21, 2015
More than a year ago, I made the decision to make indoor gardening part of my lifestyle. Now, I'm proudly smitten with it. I would say it is my favorite thing to obsess over the year. Cacti and succulents are adorable! They are easy to grow, great for small places like my studio-type apartment, seriously low maintenance and can make beautiful additions to my humble tiny home as they offer great aesthetic interior decor. My friends think I'm a certified Tita of Manila for engaging myself to indoor gardening but I couldn't care less. The calming influence of nature can absolutely ease my stress. I'm most of the time in a much happier mood. It also improves my state of mind.
This Sunday, I finally had the time to go plant shopping again for some more succulents, cacti, pebbles, soil and clear glass jar that will be used in making my own terrarium. It will be a tiny world of lush! So watch out for it.

Wow! So cute! My mom's doing the same thing although we have this little space in front of our house, but I still consider it as indoor gardening because it's still necessarily part of our house. Lol. Might get some little plants like this since I'm just staying at home most of the time. :)
ReplyDeleteSucculents and cacti are so easy to take care of! You would enjoy it for sure. :)
DeleteI have been wanting to have my own little garden indoors, but my place is not big enough. I can't wait to move out and have my own garden! i love what you're doing and will be following it! :)

Thank you, Khaira! I honestly want a new space too for a much bigger indoor garden. :)
DeleteI only have one succulent and it's surviving so far hehe. So excited to see your rack of pots, tita. Lol. But seriously, plants liven a space - even dried ones. It's really best to have them lying around. :)
ReplyDeleteYou must have a green thumb, Eva! :) Anyway, don't worry I'm embracing the tita-ness. Hahaha.
DeleteAaaaah I've been wanting to design my work station with succulents but I don't have a green thumb. I don't want to unintentionally kills another innocent plant :(

I don't think I have a green thumb myself. Haha. Anyway, succulents absorb UV Rays from computers. It can be a good substitute to sunlight, so you can just place it infront of your computer. On weekends feed them with sunlight and water. I don't think it will die though. :)
DeleteThese are so nice! My sister tried to start something like this last year too but I guess our old condo really just wasn't conducive for it. Her cactus (which she even named Napoleon) died after a few months. HAHAHA
